I have grown up on a farm all my life raising cows, horses, chickens, goats, dogs, and cats. My family has always been involved in the outdoors and going hunting is one of the most important times of the year. I am considered the "deer slayer" in my family because I kill the most deer throughout the season.
During high school, I was apart of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, and was tenth in my class. I played sports throughout my life and while in high school, I played doubles in tennis, outfield in softball, and also participated in the high school marching band for five years playing the flute and piccolo.
I am close to my family and friends and love to get involved in in volunteer activities. I attend Henderson State University where I am majoring in Early Childhood; to teach children pre-school to fourth grade. My family is made mostly of teachers and or within the education department. This is my second year here at Henderson and it has an excellent education program where the students get involved with the curriculum and the field they choose to be in.
